The Feast of the Prophet and his Bride

Our beloved Sister, Egypt Rose is organizing the Feast of the Prophet and his Bride for Vortex Oasis. The picnic will be held at Dash Point State Park.

She is looking for volunteers to help with food.

    Where: Dash Point State Park – Federal Way, Washington Picnic Shelter 1

    Schedule of Activities:

    9:00am: Egypt will be checking in and registering Vortex with the ranger.

    9:00ish to 11:00am: set-up for the picnic, set up lawn games, set up Nuit altar, etc… (we will also be having a casual art show, so if you have something you would like to display and need time to set it up, this is a good time for that). Also, if you come in the morning and find that set-up is done sooner than anticipated there are 11 miles of hiking trails. I have looked online for a good hiking trail map, but wasn’t able to locate one, there is a list of activities that the park offers, you can go to http://www.parks.wa.gov for more information.

    11:30am: Croquet Challenge

    12::45pm: The Crowley & Kelly romance lecture by Dian

    1:15pm: Sun transit time for Tacoma, WA – Liber Resh

    1:30pm: The Stele of Revealing lecture by Doug (approximately 30 minutes long)

    2:30pm to 3:00pm: start the coals (timeframe)

    3:30ish: Will for starting the feast.
    On the Menu so far
    Hamburgers & fixings – Dian
    Deviled Duck Eggs – Doug
    Salad – Brandy
    Egypt – Charcoal, Lighter fluid – and will figure something else to bring.

    Please contact Egypt Rose if you plan on bringing a dish and I will add it to the menu.

    We need volunteers to bring:
    Snacks
    Beverages
    Ice
    Side Dishes
    Veggie Tray
    Fruit

    Afternoon: more lawn games

    6:30pm: Vespers of Nuit

    7:00pm: Clean-up – we need to vacate the site by 8:00pm

    Driving Directions

    From I-5:
    Exit at the 320th St.exit (exit #143). Take 320th St. west approximately four miles. When 320th St. ends at a T-intersection, make a right onto 47th St. When 47th St. ends at a T-intersection, turn left onto Hwy. 509/ Dash Point Rd. Drive about two miles to the park. (West side of street is the campground side, and east side is the day-use area.)

    Day Use Facilities: Carpool whenever possible. Effective July 2011, all vehicles are subject to Washington State Parks Discover Pass Fees ($10/vehicle/day or $30/vehicle/season) upon arrival. For more information, visithttp://www.DiscoverPass.wa.gov.

    I would like to at attend but would like to know how find you at Dash Point park. And this is first time for me to attend a Vortex event. I am interested in Thelema and have attended one Mass at Portland’s Sekhet-Maat O.T.O. Would like to discuss Baptism, etc.
